McKinney is the county seat of Collin County and a northern suburb of Dallas. As such, it is one of the most popular relocation areas within the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. McKinney falls at the intersection of highways 380 and 75, so real estate here will put you in a great spot for commuting to any of the other Metroplex cities, particularly Dallas and Fort Worth.
McKinney was once considered the commercial center for the entire state of Texas. It has since given up that title to Dallas-Fort Worth. But it is still a great place to live.
